Role: Clubhouse Bar Duty Manager 

Responsible to: Clubhouse Manager, Clubhouse Deputy Manager 

Hours: 15 hours per week, permanent, 52 weeks a year

Salary: Grade 5A, £14.70 per hour, £28,746.47 per annum (pro-rata)

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Keele SU is looking for a confident, proactive Bar Duty Manager to help lead the day-to-day running of the Clubhouse bar.  This permanent role is ideal for someone with strong hospitality experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting a team.

What you'll do:

• Lead the bar team during service, ensuring excellent customer experience.
  
• Open and close the venue, complete daily paperwork, and maintain high operational standards.
• Support staff performance, deliver briefings, and help train new team members.
• Manage stock rotation, deliveries, wastage records, and cellar standards.
• Uphold health, safety, and licensing requirements at all times.

What we're looking for:

• Experience in a busy bar or hospitality setting.
  
• Confidence supervising staff on shift.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable, calm under pressure, and committed to high standards.
• Willingness to undertake mandatory training (Food Hygiene, Licensing etc.).
