Responsible to: Senior Operations Manager, Deputy Operations Manager (Venues), Technical Coordinator
Hours: casual, zero hour contract, term-time only
Salary: Grade S1 - £13.45 per hour

Keele University Students' Union (Keele SU) is an independent charity dedicated to the interests and welfare of all students at Keele University.
We represent and support over 15,000 students, delivering a wide range of services that enhance every aspect of university life, from academic representation and advice to sports clubs, over 100+ student societies, volunteering opportunities.
We also operate a variety of services to ensure we have a vibrant campus offer, including a nightclub, on-campus bars, food outlets and a Co-op franchise.

Role Summary:
The events team undertake a variety of roles including:
Event staff – Assisting the Venues management in delivering a comprehensive programme of
quality events, delivering hospitality, supporting with student events with the marketing and
promotion of events.
Technical staff – Assisting with the safe load in, set up, delivery and load out of events,
involving manual handling, tech support, use of cables and various equipment.
Other duties include - Promoting our events, posters/promotion around campus, office-based
computer work (Office 365, Word & Excel), “running” (assisting with artist’s and DJ needs on
events), working under the direction of the management team involved in all aspects of
customer service.
You must be a Keele student in the academic year 2026/2027 to apply.
