We ("Keele University Students' Union") will be what is known as the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us in respect of StaffSavvy. For StaffSavvy, we only collect basic personal data about you that we as your potential employer need to know. All the personal data we process via StaffSavvy is either processed by or on our behalf (including the third party hosting company for the service) in the UK. No other third parties have access to your personal data provided for StaffSavvy (unless the law allows them to do so).

If at any point you wish to have access to this personal data or believe the information we process on you is incorrect or incomplete you can request to see this information and have it corrected or deleted. You also have the right to restrict our processing of your personal data or to object to our processing of it. Planning your application

Before submitting your application, read over the job description so you know what we are looking for and the range of expertise required for the position.

Using the Person Specification

The person specification is the list of criteria or requirements needed for the post. To be shortlisted you have to fulfill each of the essential points demonstrating your abilities ideally by giving examples.

The strongest applications will detail with examples how candidates meet all of the criteria, including drawing on previous experiences and transferable skills. Remember that voluntary work or work at home can be as valuable as paid employment.
