Role: Video & Graphic Designer
Responsible to: Senior Engagements & Project Manager
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Salary: Grade 5A - £26,467.01, £13.54 per hour
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Here at Keele SU, everything we do is about empowering students to be who they want to be and make a difference to the world. We support, represent, entertain, and build a community where every student feels included and inspired.
Now, we’re looking for a creative, curious and ambitious Video & Graphic Designer to help us tell the stories that matter. Through bold visuals, engaging video, and imaginative design across our digital and physical spaces. If you’re motivated by variety, thrive in a fast‑paced creative environment, and love seeing your work make a difference, this role is for you.
A typical week will include:
- Producing exciting short‑form video content and on‑brand films
- Editing video for multiple social platforms
- Supporting and mentoring our Student Content Creators
- Designing standout static content: ads, posters, banners, social graphics
- Maintaining visual consistency across the Keele SU brand
- Working closely with Engagement & Projects to brainstorm and develop ideas
- Creating visuals that elevate our services, events and strategic priorities
- Collaborating with teams across the whole Students' Union
- Bringing fresh ideas, keeping up with trends and exploring new techniques
